The burn building/tower is 7 floors and approximately 8,000 sq. ft. It is split level allowing basement simulations. The building has four Symtron natural gas burn props with flashover effects. The props use a non-toxic, non-irritating, theatrical smoke. It also has built in safety features and can be fully vented of heat and smoke in less than 30 seconds.
The burn building has a multi-functional roof prop with a variable pitch. One side has a spongy section. In addition the building has the ability to support rope rescue, confined space, industrial, and elevator evolutions. There is also a variable flow hydrant that allows instructors to gate down or nearly shut off the water supply to the apparatus.
The control panel for the burn props allows for different difficulty levels that are easily changed for student capability. The instructor has a control wand that from which the effects, smoke, burners, and safety elements can be controlled.
The city grid surrounding the burn building allows for different scenarios and varied terrain for truck operations. The site is fully secure from the general public.
